-one of the first signs of trouble is gurgling.
-never put baby wipes or women's products into your septic system.
-do not drive or park vehicles on any part of your septic system.
-learn the location of your septic system if possible and keep sketches with your maintenance records.
-commercial septic tank additives do not eliminate the need for periodic pumping and can be harmful to your system.
-make sure to eliminate all pooling or flowing of water on or near any part of your septic system, excess water in the drain field can cause backing up in the house and damage the drain field.
